Introduction to DependOn.It

Welcome to the DependOn.It Help Center!

DependOn.It is an online collaboration platform determined to effectively enable contributors to find, manage and contribute to beneficiaries, with the intention for beneficiaries to become contributors.

What is DependOn.It?​

At its core, DependOn.It is a tool for managing social cases and community needs. It connects people who have needs (Beneficiaries) with people and organizations who can help (Contributors and Organisations).

Core Concepts​

To use the application effectively, it's important to understand the following concepts:

  • Organisation: The top-level entity that manages user groups and cases.
  • User Group: A collection of users within an organisation who collaborate on specific cases.
  • Beneficiary: The person or entity that is the focus of a case and will receive help.
  • Case: A specific project or situation involving a beneficiary that needs resolution.
  • Need: A specific requirement within a case (e.g., "Financial assistance for medical bills", "Volunteers for home repair").
  • Solution: A proposed way to meet a specific need.
  • Contribution: The actual action or resource provided to fulfill a solution.
